What preparation is required?
The walls should be cleaned and wiped dry, they will be primed first with a matt emulsion undercoat, allowed to dry and covered again with a full matt emulsion. Wallpaper should be removed and loose plaster removed and replaced for a smooth finish. The area for the artist to move around should be made clear. It may sound strange but accidents can happen and have happened around the mural area, therefore children should be kept away from the mural work area at all times, especially when the artist is not present. These preparations will need to be carried out by the client. The artist can perform these tasks but it will add time to the project overall, hence making it more expensive
